Hi Sheeda!
Try buying saree fabric on Amazon.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2Fs%3Fie%3DUTF8%26ref_%3Dnb%5Fsb%5Fnoss%26field-keywords%3Dsaree%2bfabric%26url%3Dsearch-alias%3Daps&tag=digitsy-post-20&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=390957
I recommend Blue Sari / Bellydance Dress Fabric wrap India Saree, $49.99

The sari lengths I buy have the fabric for the choli (blouse) at one end of the length of the fabric for the rest of the sari. You make the blouse and finish the sari (or you cut up the fabric for what you want to make.)
If you’re in the US, Joann fabrics had some "sari fabrics" on bolts… no choli ends, and no fixed length; you can buy by the yard. In larger cities with Indian populations, there are usually some sari shops near or in concert with Indian specialty food stores - for instance, in Houston, there are several near Hillcroft.
