Do you think it would be direspectful….?

to wear a sari to my brothers wedding. We are all caucasian but I think saris look so beautiful. Woud Indian women or men be offended if a white person wore one?

On the contrary. Indian men and women would love it. But be sure you know how to wear it. A badly worn sari can be an embarrassment.

Is your brother marrying an Indian woman? Many people of other cultures are flattered when you show an interest in their culture. I think it would be okay.

No, it is not disrespectful at all, i think. I’ve seen it before and i dont think that there are any problems with it. I’m not quite sure tho.

No, I doubt it. I think they would be glad to show you how to wear it.

I think it would be completely OK. It is nothing but a beautiful garment.

If you are going to bring more attention to yourself other than the Bride then that would be the wrong thing to wear.

absolutely not, as long as it was tasteful, and not a sari made out of a German flag, or with pigs or cows on them.

If it’s what you enjoy wearing. I think your brother and the bride would just be pleased that you came.
