Kondensatleitungen und Kondensaträume müssen entlüftet werden, damit es nicht zu störenden Blockaden, schlechtem Wärmeübergang oder reduzierter Temperatur kommt. Eine richtige Entlüftung ist für Dampfsysteme genau so wichtig wie die richtige Entwässerung.
Ähnliches wie für Dampfanlagen gilt für Flüssigkeitssysteme und Heizungen allgemein: Luft und nicht kondensierbare Gase stören und müssen durch automatische Entlüfter entfernt werden.
