How long will $3500 last me in Sariyer, Istanbul on just food and some shopping and personal expenses?

I'm going to study abroad in Sari yer, Istanbul for about 4 months and would like to know how long I can go with 00. The cost for where I will live is covered, and I won't need to worry about bills except probably a phone bill. The things I would need to pay for are food, clothes, transportation(probably just on the weekends), and personal expenses for shampoo, toothpaste and such. I was wondering if anyone can help me out in calculating how much I would spend for each month. I'm open to any suggestions to where I could find a good bargain and yummy cheap food.
Is there anything like a monthly bus pass that will save me money?

Oh yea and how should I pack for the season during Sept to Jan? Would I get made fun of for having rain boots, I like my rain my rain boots.

When I was there, I need warm clothing and a good coat. (In Istanbul) There use to be taxis that would take you from one place to another, but you had to share you cab. Each person would pay for the distance they traveled.

this money is enough for u

make shopping from BIM if u have to buy cheapest things..

    Use public transportation
It is a little crowded but u can reach everywhere with Bus, metrobus and metro trains…

To answer your question, you should find out which expenses are necessary and which are not, so you can make a decision on how to adjust to the money that you can spend, albeit having enough money to meet all your expenses.

It will be ok. Will not make you feel the queen of Istanbul, will not make you feel the miserable. Even you can have some fun with that money. Try to shop from gross markets not the groceries and avoid visiting Istinye Park Mall. We do not want you to spend all your money in one day. :)
