I live in Eastern America Would it be inappropriate to wear a sari that shows my stomach in public?
1/3 indian and i love saris but i live in america and here a lot of people may think its inappropriate.

No, it’s not inappropriate. Americans wear worse and show more than just their stomach, who cares what they think?

Of course wear your sari. What an elegant outfit. They make any women look interesting. However, please avoid the look that mindless White House gate crasher wore at the White House reception for the Indians.
A Conservative, elegant sari would be one thing; a vulgar "Bollywood" creation would be inappropriate.

What are you talking about? Saris are really modest! They show your stomach but that’s really it. That being said, they make any woman look sexy. Also, there are heaps of Indians in America so people won’t be shocked. Go for it!
