Is it alright to wear a sari to prom even if I'm not Indian?
my boyfriend got me a really beautiful sari... its absolutely perfect in every way but i don't want to offend any one at prom by wearing it... he doesn't think that I'm going to wear it... but I think it would be a nice way to surprise him... please let me know what you think!! Omigod I love saris I think they’re beautiful! I think it would be a lovely idea, and I don’t think it would offend anyone (at least I hope not =P) How unique! <3

I hope not because I really want you to wear one to your prom! Hardly anyone is ever original enough to think up something like that. I’ll bet you’ll look stunning!

If you can combine it with something to make it look fashionable rather than a Halloween outfit, if you get what I mean.
