Is there a specific outfit or style of clothes that Turkey is well known for?

It's all in the question.
Like Scottish Kilts or Indian Sari's? What is it for Turkey?

There is not one particular clothing to say traditional Turkish clothing. Every region in Turkey has its own unique clothing and they are different in each region. They are named folkloric costumes which are generally worn for special occasions.

As part of folkloric costumes, salvar (large trousers), goynek or gomlek (shirts), ucetek (three pieced skirts), also yazma (headscarves are worn by women). Cepken (sleeveless waist-length vests), onluk (aprons worn by women). Kusak is also part of Turkish folklore which are woven belts wrapped around the waist. For footwear carik is worn as folkloric shoes by both men and women Generally speaking other than face, neck, hands, head most of the body portions are covered however legs are exposed in men’s clothing as regional dress style on the Aegean part of Turkey .

Turkish people live in urban societies wear typical western clothing in their daily life. You won’t notice anything different.

Here is a few pics to see what Turkish folkloric clothing looks like. You can always find more pictures on the net. Look for under "folkloric costumes in Turkey" or "Turkish folklore".
