Why does the Indian choli expose the midriff ?
the choli is the "blouse" worn under the sari drape along with the skirt. Does the exposure have to do with an ancient cultural thing? I'm just curious

No, it is just India’s traditional dress. They make cholis in all different styles I don’t wear saris all the time but I have about 100, most of my cholis do show the stomach but if a person doesn’t want it to show they can wrap the sari in a way that it doesn’t show.
